Schlumpadinka

More often than I prefer I fall into this category. The girl in a tee/polo/long sleeve shirt and jeans. I love me some yoga suits in the fall and winter. When I hit the door in the afternoon I immediately put on comfy clothes-pj's or yoga pants. I wish I were different. I envy girls who are. I have tried. And tried. And tried. But its just not in me to keep up the facade.
So Miss C and I are going for a walk after dinner, killing time and energy before Daddy gets home. I am wearing a stained, XXL t-shirt from Hubby's work, Soffe shorts and mary jane Crocs. Miss C is wearing what she wore to school-a white shirt, now also dirty, pants with a diaper so full it is almost falling off, tennis shoes with no socks. A little food left on her face from dinner. So of course we run into new neighbors. Out for a stroll with 2 elementary aged children who are clean. And a teeny baby. Eleven days old to be exact. The mom looks 17 times better than me. She is easily 10 pounds lighter-hello 11 day old baby?! Wearing a cute top and cute fitting yoga pants. I could not get back into the safety of my home fast enough. Ugh.

Good grief. I walk out to the mailbox all of the time in my pajama pants. Schlumpadinkas unite!!
