Blogs and Facebook are the best tools for linking you to total strangers. You read their stories, bond over similarities and just know you would be BFF in real life if you ever met. Motherhood Matters is one of these people. I found her through my beloved Amber and she has quickly become a cult fave. She is currently running a list of things you only experience as a SAHM. Examples~the non private and very cold shower; and the abrupt and rude ending of telephone calls to prevent disasters or painting of the dog. It made me think, "I could totally hijack this idea for my blog!!"
But in a moment that could only be described as emotionally driven I tweaked the idea. This post will be about those sweet moments you experience as a mama. These are my top picks:
1) The mouth on mouth kiss. Before I had Miss C, I was bothered by this. Now I cannot get enough of those wet, little kisses.
2) A perfect little person who will bypass grandparents and daddies and want only their mama. No one and nothing else will do but mama and her hugs, warmth and comfort.
3) A little munchkin who thinks nothing of putting her feet on my face, hands under my shirt, or chewed food in my outstreched hand.
4) Enormous pride at the smallest of accomplishments. Because as a mama you have seen all the effort and learning that went into what may seem insignificant to others. You know a big "Good Job" or high five is called for.
5) Being the best at deciphering the gibberish that is your child's "talking". No one else quite knows what the heck they are saying but mamas do.
6) Miss C and I share a banana with peanut butter before bedtime. We crawl in my bed, watch TV, snuggle and eat our treat. She is freshly washed, smells like Caroline, with little bare painted toes and pajamas. I absolutely love it.
As I am so blessed to have awesome mommy friends I wonder, "What are your mommy moments?"

This list is just too precious. And thanks for the nod. Your post hit on one of my favortite mommy moments...Nail Salon. So cute to paint 20 of the tiniest little toe nails (I have a 2 and 3 year old, not a mutant child)
I love the little pats on the back we get...when Nathan is upset, Tom always hugs him and pats his back gently. So now he does that to us. He also calls me his "sweetie pie"--taught to him by Gigi.
I love it when I come downstairs after getting "ready" (sometimes it is just changing my undies and putting on sweats) and the twins will say, "You look soooooo pretty mommy!" (even if I look like @#!) I also love it when Brady crawls up on the couch with me and says, "I wanna give you a hug and a kiss!"
