A Mommy's Salvation

As a stay at home mommy there are two things I could not live without. Mom's Night Out and playgroups. Both allow me to hang with my friends, gab and gab, and retain the few shreds of sanity left.
I am doubly blessed this week. Tuesday was MNO and I thoroughly enjoyed myself. I rolled in at midnight, which if you know me is HUGE. I stay up late for almost no one. Of course Miss C made sure I knew she did not approve by waking up off and on starting at 4:30 am. Hubs asked what we talked about for 5 hours. You know, stuff.
Then today was our Christmas party. Amber was our fearless host this year. The older our kids get the more I realize I need to be very good friends with the moms at playgroup. Not for conversational or social purposes. No, my child acts like a monkey and I need to know I will still have friends and dignity when we leave. Like when we forget to bring diapers, poop through our clothes, take doorstops off the wall, steal toys, "pet" babies, the list goes on and on. Luckily, these ladies have not abandoned me...yet.

Um, that was MY kid who took the doorstop off the wall. Yours just took it from him and handed it to me, as if to say, "My Na-na just did this. I am so sorry for his crazy behavior. I can't take him anywhere."
