There are times when I look at a product, event, show, etc. and think I really could not live without you. Here are some of my top picks:
1) Herbal Essence chapstick. You have to search for it here in Birmingham, AL. So much so that I bought 9 tubes on my trip to Key West last spring. It's that wonderful.
2) Oxy-Clean spray stain remover. Love it, need it, can't live without it since I have a toddler determined to stain everything she and I both own. Including the white pants I wore on Easter and again to my cousin's wedding. When will I learn?!
3) 100 calorie pack of Kettle Korn. My latest snack treat that is so tasty without derailing my diet.
4) The Greek chicken pasta from Costco that is worth derailing my diet.
5) Miss C's naptime. She still naps faithfully and it is one of the main reasons I still hold a few, tattered shreds of sanity.
6) My DVR. Yes, I know everyone has one now. It is no longer a novelty but still very much a necessity.
7) A good book. I go through spells where I love my DVR more than books and vice versa. Right now I am addicted to author Suzanne Brockman. She is laugh out loud funny with hilarious dialogue, friendships you long for in your own life and *love*scenes that are smoking hot. I read fluff for pure entertainment. Kudos to those who read Oprah's picks and books that will change your life. Not my style and I'm not afraid to admit it.
8) Coupons. Seriously, it is amazing what is out there and available if you surf the internet for five minutes before you shop. You can save truckloads. Plus the more you use, the more often you land on the supremo mailing lists that send STUFF FOR FREE. My faves. Thrifynorthwestmom can get you started and change your life.
9) A suntan. Yes, it's incredibly non-PC but this butt looks 8 million times better tan than it does white. This is the first year I haven't gone to a tanning bed so maybe I'm growing up. But every afternoon during number 5 I'm also enjoying numero 7 in the sun.
10) And the gimmies (plus I won't sound like a heartless nutjob)~Hubs, Miss C, my amazing family, and girlfriends. Without these characters 1-9 are just shallow attempts to enjoy a meaningless existence.
