To all the Mamas in pajamas

Our day starts fairly early in Bond-vegas. About 6:20. Yes, Miss C is allowing an extra 20 minutes of sleep for which I am so grateful. She hits the ground running, literally. She begins our day with a Boo! and off we go. Tuesdays are especially exciting as the garbage man rolls through around 7:30. No problem here, she's already eaten and watched her show. After we watch our new friend we break out the craft box. We color. We play with stickers. We play with foam pieces, making pictures of friends and their pets. I'm feeling extra brave so I break out the finger paints. Big hit. Huge.
As I watch her paint our clock chimes 8:30. AM. Are you kidding me? We've already accomplished 17 things. I was never this productive in my "real" job. The Army's quote, "We do more before 6am than most people do all day" runs through my mind and I go on a mental tangent.
So do Moms. We also know sleep deprivation. We have experienced cruel and unusual torture at the hands of our toddler who wants a juice box-NOW. We wade through battle fields formerly known as our bedrooms and living rooms. If you have more than one child you know about wars that could bring a grown man to his knees. Oh and our combat pay? Yeah, they just tack it onto our stay at home mom paycheck.
The Army should think about recruiting moms. At the very least we could provide training on how to negotiate with difficult enemies and provide some serious multi-layered physical training, consisting of carrying a 32 pound toddler, a 32 pound diaper bag, while pushing a tank/school bus buggy through the grocery store, price checking and using coupons.

**I greatly respect the men and women who serve our country. They have impossible jobs that are dangerous and terrifying. They are selfless and heroic. All above discussed ideas are fluff meant only for entertainment.**

Amen sister! I make mine get in bed with me and watch cartoons until at least 7:45 or 8:00. I am a terrible, mean monster in the morning!
